For volunteer groups and charities
A site that does not rest on one volunteer.
Most small charities have had a website that stopped when the person who built it moved on. Ours is managed for you, and changes are made by email, so nobody has to learn a website tool or give up their evenings. We build the whole site before you pay anything.

A real volunteer-run charity
A global site for a charity that runs on volunteers.
Where they started
CTSS has written monthly letters to left-behind children in rural China since 2014. It had a site for readers in China and none for the rest of the world. One volunteer designed an overseas site and could not finish it; another launched it and could not always keep it current. Both have since moved on.
What we built
A warm site in English and Chinese: how a letter travels from a school mailbox to a volunteer's desk, the children's drawings, the founder's letter, the transparency documents to read on the page, and a sign-up form for new volunteers.
How it runs now
Read the storyWhen the team wants a page changed or a new detail added, they send us an email. Nobody has to learn a website tool, so the site no longer rests on one volunteer's spare time.
We were lucky to find PageTend. With no funds, staff, time or technical skills, we never expected to get a team that could design and manage our whole website. Changing content is easy too: just one email. It's truly wonderful!
What a small charity's site has to do
Four jobs, none of which needs a web team.
Explain the work
What you do, who you help and how a gift or an hour of time is used, in plain words and real pictures. CTSS shows the six steps a letter takes from a school mailbox to a volunteer's desk.
Be transparent
See the PDF viewerReports, policies and financial documents that donors and partners ask for, opened on the page. CTSS shows its transparency documents so they can be read without a download.
Recruit volunteers
See custom formsA short sign-up form that tells you who offered and how to reach them, in one list instead of scattered messages.
Reach readers in their language
See multilingualA charity with supporters in two countries needs two languages. CTSS has English and Chinese, one tap apart.
Keeping the site going
One email, whoever sends it.
When volunteers come and go
The site belongs to the group, not to a person.
Changes come by email to us, not through a login someone has to remember. When a volunteer leaves, the next one sends the same email.
- Someone has a changeA new event, a new document, a corrected line.
- They email usWith any photos or files attached, in plain words.
- We make the changeIn every language the site uses, usually within one business day.
- Nobody learns a toolThere is no website builder to teach the next volunteer.

Some honest things.
CTSS is a real client
Its story shows what changed. Its quote is the volunteer manager's own words, shown with their agreement.
We do not process donations
The site can explain how to give and link to the donation tool you already use. We do not collect or hold donations, and we are not fundraising advisors.
Your claims and documents are yours
Tax status, financial figures and impact claims come from you. We put them on the page as given and do not check them.
Questions
What charities and volunteer groups ask first.
What happens when our volunteer who looks after the site leaves?
Nothing, because the site is managed. The next person emails us the same way. There is no tool to learn and no password to hand over.
Can the site be in two languages?
Yes. CTSS has English and Chinese, with a switch at the top of every page.
Can we show our financial reports and policies?
Yes. PDFs open right on the page in a built-in viewer, so supporters can read them without a download.
Can volunteers sign up on the site?
Yes. A short form collects each offer and sends it to your email.
Can you take donations?
We do not process donations. The site can explain how to give and link to the donation tool you already use.
What does it cost?
$99 a month, month to month, no design or setup fee. See pricing.
Tell us who you are and what you do.
We build a real site and email you the link before you pay anything.
