New design: one page, built for a digital marketing studio

A digital marketing studio asked for one page, no contact form, and a look as sharp as its work. Here is the sample we built, Tangelo Lane, and how one page can carry a business.

The Tangelo Lane home page on a laptop browser and on a phone

Some businesses do not need ten pages. A digital marketing studio asked us for one: say what they do, show how they work, and give people a way to reach them. No contact form, just an email address.

We built it, and then made it our newest sample design. We call the sample Tangelo Lane: an invented studio, with an invented logo and an example email address. The page is real, so you can scroll through it yourself.

One page, five scenes

A single page works when it reads like a story. This one runs in a fixed order, and each scene answers the question a visitor has next.

  • The hero says who they are and what they promise: Get found. Get clicked. Get customers. A sample dashboard beside it shows the kind of numbers the studio reports.
  • The hub shows that search, paid ads, social, content and email are one system, not five separate jobs.
  • The services list the seven things they do, one card each, with a link to ask about any of them.
  • The process is four steps: listen, plan, launch, report.
  • The reporting closes the loop with a plain-English report, because marketing you cannot measure is just spending.

Then one email button at the bottom. Every button on the page, and the menu at the top, leads to the same place.

Designed to look like the work

A marketing studio sells results you can measure, so the site looks like something you could measure. We went for a clean, high-tech feel: a warm paper background, thin ink outlines, and small console-style panels with live-looking charts. Headings are in a serif, and the numbers and labels are in a monospace font, the way a dashboard would set them.

The page also moves, gently. The chart in the hero draws itself, dashed lines flow from each channel into the hub, and the process steps cross out the old way of doing things as you reach them. People who have asked their phone or computer to reduce motion get a still page.

Phone first, as well as desktop

Most visitors will open this on a phone. On a small screen the dashboard drops under the headline, the buttons stretch to full width, and every scene stacks into one column you can read with a thumb. Nothing is hidden on mobile; it is the same page, laid out for the screen.

What it took

Nothing special. The page is made from the same building blocks as every PageTend site, so:

  • It is fast. There is no contact form to load, and the page needs nothing from outside our own system to appear.
  • It stays current. When the studio changes a service or a number, they send us a line and the page is updated.
  • It is theirs. It runs on their own domain with their own email address.

Is this you?

A one-page site suits a studio, a consultant, a freelancer or a new business that wants a clear, professional presence without a lot to maintain. If that sounds like you, tell us about your business and we will show you what yours could look like.
