Client story · Community expo · Somerville to Boston

From a page of Linktree links to a site of its own.

Somerville Connection Expo ran on a Linktree of Google Forms. Now it's Boston Connection Expo, with one site for multiple cities, every sign-up, and a map of every table.

The story

Where they started, what we built, how it runs now.

  1. Where she started

A Linktree of eight links: Google Forms for volunteers and club tables, an attendee survey, a PDF directory of the groups, and PayPal and Venmo. Behind it, Google Sheets to keep track of every club and volunteer.

  2. What we built

One site on her own domain, bostonconnection.org, built to grow city by city: a page for each expo, sign-up pages for visitors, clubs and volunteers she can send by link, a floor map of all 50 tables on two floors, and a directory of the 78 groups from her October 2026 expo.

  3. How it runs now

Every sign-up reaches her by email and in her portal, filed by expo, where she can search, mark clubs Approved and download a list. No more Google Sheets. When something on the site should change, she emails us.

Before and after

Eight links, now one site.

What we built

A map of every table.

All 50 tables on two floors. Visitors tap a table to meet the group, or search the 78 groups by name and category. It replaced a PDF directory.

The Boston Connection Expo club sign-up page

A sign-up page for everyone.

Attend, register a club or volunteer. Each page has its own link she can send, and every entry lands in her portal instead of a Google Sheet.
